
563d Electronic Warfare Squadron
MISSION
The 563d EWS researches, builds, ships, tests, and maintains software applications to support the 350 SWW mission essential functions (MEF). These MEFs are, but not limited to, rapid Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming (EWIR), Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) assessment, and Wing target-, TTP-, and waveform capability development. The 563d EWS drives the transformation of the 350th SWW into a digital-forward, 21st-Century operational Wing by prioritizing a data-first, test driven approach and serves as a software development training arm to enable others with best practices and techniques to secure EMSO superiority.

HISTORY
The 563d EWS was activated to help achieve the goal of the 350th SWW in becoming a more software-minded organization that delivers cutting-edge EMS fighting capabilities. We deliver services and products that enable EW community mission outcomes, while transforming the SWW into the first digitally focused operational wing in the USAF. The 563d was previously the 850
th SWG DET 1 before being activated as the 563d EWS.
