388th Electronic Warfare Squadron 

MISSION
The 388th EWS provides organic intelligence, target development, training, weapons and tactics, test management, and communications support to the Wing’s mission essential functions of rapid Electromagnetic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming (EWIR), EW Assessment Program (EWAP), and Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) Target-Waveform-,TTP-, and Capability development.

HISTORY
The 388th EWS activated on May 2, 2024. The 388th EWS’ history began in World War II with an antisubmarine mission in the Atlantic before being reassigned to the Pacific in support of the Island-Hopping Campaign. It most recently operated as the 388th Electronic Combat Squadron based out of Naval Air Station Whidbey, Washington, flying EA-6B Prowlers until its deactivation in 2010.
