Chief Master Sergeant WILLIAM L. CUPP

Chief Master Sergeant William L. Cupp is the Command Chief, 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. In this capacity, he serves as the principal advisor to the wing commander and senior staff on matters affecting the professional development and effective utilization of 1,500 military and civilian personnel. The 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing is the newest wing in the Air Force, activated on 25 June 2021; the wing achieved initial operating capability in July 2022 and is projected to grow to approximately 2,300 personnel. The 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing’s primary mission is to provide rapid combat power to commanders during peacetime, through crisis, and in war. The wing specializes in rapid reprogramming of electronic warfare systems to scan, sense, identify, locate, counter, and survive against hostile threats.

Chief Cupp is from Monterey, California, and enlisted in May of 1999. He has diverse experience across the aircraft maintenance, operations, and agile combat support fields. He has expertise across a wide range of special operations, special mission, and mobility airframes and mission sets. Additionally, he has held a variety of leadership positions, serving at squadron, group and wing levels. He has significant experience in joint and combined operating environments across deployments to Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and INHERENT RESOLVE.

Prior to his current assignment, the Chief was the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 86th Maintenance Group at Ramstein
Air Base, Germany.
